The Global Sustainable Tourism Alliance (GSTA) is a USAID initiative formed to create economic opportunities—through sustainable tourism—for communities in developing countries.  The GSTA is a partnership of 15 leading organizations in the sustainable tourism field combining resources and expertise to address development challenges in exciting and innovative ways.

Solimar International

Solimar International is a tourism development firm dedicated to promoting the goals of sustainable tourism.  The firm provides consulting services to businesses, associations, development agencies, and national tourism authorities, calling upon industry knowledge and insights into how sustainable tourism can be used to stimulate economic growth while conserving natural resources and cultural heritage. 
Small businesses make up a majority of the tourism industry, and Solimar recognizes that entrepreneurship is key to generating income for local communities.  Solimar is a managing partner of the Global Sustainable Tourism Alliance and specializes in assisting destinations develop new tourism products, plan business strategies, and increase competitiveness.

The Geo-Heritage Group is a not-for-profit organization dedicated to help facilitate community based cultural heritage site initiatives through the promotion of geotourism.  The group brings over 30 years of experience to help plan, fund, and realize the goals of a community.  Through preservation consulting services, the Geo-Heritage Group offers their abilities and volunteer expertise in creativity and consensus building on a not-for-profit basis to qualified heritage sites.
